One of the most important elements of a modern law firm's operation is well-organized internal collaboration. The larger the team, the more the need arises to assign staff to cases not individually, but collectively in a single step.
Flowyer has now developed a new feature that addresses exactly this issue.
Workgroups Without Limits – A New Core Feature for Larger Law Firms
With the new development, any number of workgroups can be created, which can be managed as independent units within the system.
This is particularly useful where:
- multiple lawyers and trainees work simultaneously,
- cases are distributed thematically by team (e.g., real estate law, litigation team, compliance, tax law group),
- project-based organization or case-type grouping is required,
- external colleagues need to be temporarily involved in specific tasks.
Workgroups can be formed completely freely: there is no limit to the number of groups, and a user can be a member of multiple workgroups at once. This also allows a colleague to effectively participate at the intersections of specialties.
Case Assignment with One Click
One of the main goals of the development was to avoid having to add each employee to cases individually. Previously, in a large team, assigning 6–10 people could be a manual process.
With the new solution, an entire workgroup can be assigned to a case with a single selection, and members automatically receive access and permissions.
This not only speeds up administration but also makes internal workflows much more transparent — especially in firms with high daily case volumes.
Complete Flexibility in Organizational Structure
Workgroups:
- can be created with any name,
- can be expanded or reduced as needed,
- are easily managed even with high turnover or temporary project teams,
- function as separate units in the permissions and access system.
The aim of Flowyer with this feature was to provide professional-level organizational support for larger law firms.
The new feature noticeably improves teamwork in several ways:
- group-based case assignment dramatically speeds up operations,
- reduces administrative burden,
- improves internal transparency,
- makes managing projects and case groups easier,
- makes the office structure more flexible.
