File Management at a New Level: Folder Structure Upload, Recycle Bin, and Linkable Paths
Managing case files - uploading, organizing, sharing, restoring - consumes time from substantive legal work daily. Therefore, we have expanded Flowyer's file management system with significant enhancements.
New Features
Upload Entire Document Bundles at Once
If a ready-made folder structure is already available on the computer at the start of a case - such as scanned documents, previous correspondence, documents transferred from another system - it does not need to be uploaded individually and recreated folder by folder.
Simply drag the entire folder onto the Flowyer interface. The entire structure, including subfolders and files, is automatically created. Multiple folders can be dragged at once, allowing complex document organization with a single move.
Recycle Bin with Restore Option
If someone accidentally deletes a file or folder, it is not lost immediately: it first goes to the recycle bin. From there, it can be restored with a single click - no need for IT specialists, no need to restore from backups, and no waiting for someone to find the original file on their own computer.
This is especially useful in offices where multiple colleagues work on the same case. A mistaken deletion no longer means data loss - just one click.
Linkable Folders - Like Google Drive or OneDrive
If a colleague needs to be shown a specific subfolder in a case - such as contract drafts or the court submissions folder - it can now be sent as a link via email or chat. Upon opening the link, the colleague lands directly there, not at the case root, not on the Flowyer homepage.
This works just like when someone sends a link to a Google Drive or OneDrive folder. When opening the case, the browser's address bar automatically updates with the current folder path, and this link can be copied and shared at any time. No need to write, "open the case, then go to the Contracts subfolder, then to the year 2024" - just send the link.
Client-Uploaded Documents Automatically Appear in Case Files
If a client uploads documents through the client portal - signed authorization, certification, decision, or any other document - these automatically appear in the file manager of the respective case.
No need to save from email, rename, and then copy to the appropriate folder. The client-uploaded documents are immediately accessible as part of the case - by the time the lawyer opens the case, the documents are already there.
Additional Features You May Already Be Used To
In addition to the new features, previously introduced tools remain available:
Version Control System - if a document is modified, the previous version is retained. It can be reviewed at any time who and when made changes - this is particularly useful for contract drafts and lengthy negotiation processes.
Unlimited Storage - no need to worry about whether the entire document set of a case will fit. The storage size does not need to be monitored.
Folder Sharing for Upload - if a forensic expert, accountant, or other external person needs to deliver documents to the office, Flowyer access is not required. Through a shared folder, documents can be uploaded without logging in, from any internet-enabled device.
File Preview - images, Word, and PDFs can be displayed directly on the Flowyer interface, without downloading and without a separate program.
Company Gateway Messages Next to the Case - deliveries and their attachments arriving via the Company Gateway are directly accessible among the relevant case files, keeping all documents in a single system, in context.
Security and Data Storage
The uploaded documents are stored on Google Cloud infrastructure - the same platform trusted by large enterprises with their data. Only those with authorization can access the documents, according to the access levels set within the office.
If needed, the storage can be complemented with automatic synchronization with Microsoft OneDrive, making documents simultaneously accessible on both platforms - for those who primarily use OneDrive in office work.
